The reason I ask is b / c my son is now a month and havent lost the weight I've lost at birth! (Baby and placenta) and was wondering if it's really true, b / c do not feel like it is for me ….

He knows the results of TSH?

I my doctor yesterday and TSH test result was 9.02, which is higher than ever. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism aprx thyroid. Four years ago, and was the synthroid until January 2009, when for some reason I decided to stay. My TSH test was six months ago, it was 1.03 and I am very confused, as I know symptoms of hypoglycemia include increased weight, and had been a weight loss of 40 pounds. a month without dieting, exercise, etc. I am 27 / f with no health problems, except now dealing with the maintenance of potassium levels are dangerous levels, without explaining why. Very confused and scared now. Please someone help me !!!!! Thanks!

Normal values TSH is 0.4 to 4.0 mIU / L for those without symptoms of thyroid malfunction. However, those without signs or symptoms that hypothyroidism TSH values exceeding 2.0 mIU / l and normal T4 levels, hypothyroidism can develop in the future. This is called subclinical hypothyroidism (underactive mild thyroid) or hypothyroidism at an early stage. Someone with TSH values above this level should be closely monitored by your doctor. If you are being treated for thyroid disorders, TSH should be between 0.5 and 3.0 mIU / L. The normal range of values may vary slightly depending on the different laboratories. Talk to your doctor about the meaning of specific test results. What's wrong: a higher level of normal may indicate: * Congenital hypothyroidism (cretinism) * Exposure to mice (lab workers or veterinarians) Primary hypothyroidism * * * Resistance the thyroid hormones TSH-dependent hyperthyroidism Potassium is essential for cells, especially nerve cells and muscles work properly.
